The Whirling Ovation Catalyst is here and requires unlocking Desert Perpetual Gear Attunement.

To get the The Whirling Ovation Catalyst we have to do the Atlas and Almanac Quest and Map And Territory Quest. Additional boss checkpoints may be required depending if you’ve never done the Desert Perpetual Normal or EPIC raids. Once both quests are completed Desert Perpetual Gear Attunement will be unlocked. We will then attune for the Whirling Ovation Catalyst and do another encounter checkpoint to obtain the exotic.

How to get the Whirling Ovation Exotic Rocket Launcher?

The only way to get the Whirling Ovation Catalyst is by attuning for it using the previously described Desert Perpetual Gear Attunement and complete another encounter checkpoint.

What is the Whirling Ovation Destiny 2 Exotic Rocket Launcher?

Element: Strand (heavy ammo) with Solar payload!
Primary Exotic Perk – Coronal Culmination: Hold to charge and release to fire a rocket carrying a delayed Solar payload adds explosive burst after impact
Secondary Exotic Perk – Anticipation: Charge speed for the next shot builds faster over time and even more rapidly when you deal damage with other weapons
Built‑in Traits:
- Hard Launch: greatly increases projectile speed.
- Liquid Coils: boosts impact damage at the cost of slower charge time.
- Composite Stock: improves stability and handling

Additional stats include a 7-shot magazine, 12 rounds per minute rate of fire, and a 5-second full-charge time
