You can turn in spoils of conquests to purchase random rolls of the adept weapon IF you have unlocked it.

What Adept Weapon Do I Get?

The Adept Weapon you get is RANDOM but Bungie has said works on the “Knockout System”. This means that you will receive and Adept Weapon from a Weekly Challenge that you HAVE NOT already unlocked. This means that each lootable clear (a challenge clear on each character) should get you different Adept Crota’s End Weapons. This could change depending on how Bungie enacts it or if they bug on the loot mechanics the first week.
